Lake Harbor is an unincorporated community located in western Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is situated on the southeastern shore of Lake Okeechobee, the largest freshwater lake in the state of Florida. The community is primarily an agricultural area with a significant number of immigrant farm-workers mostly from Mexico and Central America. It is known for its sugarcane farming and is home to the U.S. Sugar Corporation headquarters. The area also has a number of fishing and hunting camps. The surrounding area is rich in wildlife and is popular for bird-watching and other outdoor activities. Lake Harbor is served by US Route 27 and State Road 715. The closest city is Belle Glade, located about 10 miles to the east.
